Amenities are broken and not well taken care of. Gym yoga room needs to be cleaned more often. The TVs are broken in most of the common areas. Not enough covered parking during snowstorms. Stairwells need to be cleaned more often

We have mice in our apartment and no one is taking care since we told them back in force millions of time . Once they come over they start blaming you that your apartment is not clean or there is no mice and your seeing they in your imagination and then they put 2 traps and that’s it . They should find from where those mice are coming from they should find their wholes or canals . Definitely the service team did nothing and mice are all over the apartment. Definitely an unliveable place.

Communication is poor. Multiple emails have gone unanswered, the problems unaddressed. Design of the building (deliberate?) makes communication with management more difficult. Ongoing problems with faulty doors compromises the security of the building and bikes.

I love the MISCELA! It’s in the perfect location, it has a variety of visually aesthetic work spaces, & it has a fully stocked gym that has everything you need. Miscela is right next to the orange line making it so accessible throughout Boston & theres lots of resident perks to explore :) love it here. Only challenge is the rent price.

I understand that kids need to be kids, but when they are running around screaming, cannonballing on, and throwing balls into everyone around the pool, it makes it less than enjoyable. The equipment in the gym needs some significant maintenance, the benches are worn out or very cheap and flimsy, the cables on all the machines are stretched out, there need to be more plates for the smith machine and squat rack, it would be great to have dumbbells that go higher than 50lbs, more handle grips for the cables would be nice, the pin on the leg extension/leg curl machine pops out sometimes (very dangerous)

Hallways could be a couple degrees cooler in the summer. I start to melt just walking to and riding the elevator. Yoga studio needs a complete redesign. Montage is a perfect example. I stopped practicing in the yoga "dungeon" altogether :(

Building is great, but for the cost, things could be better! Great location and so convenient to so many things, all walking distance. I love the amenities this building provides but it's disappointing that the pool has been closed since Labor Day (more than half the year). The gym is fantastic, and very clean. Apartments are good but I have had to submit multiple different service requests, some have been very smooth and others have been ok.

Overall this has been a great community so far. It is not without its struggles, but each unit is well kept, maintenance crew is great, leading office staff seem to care about resident happiness, and overall amenities are great. Apartment wasn’t completely clean upon move in but that was easily remedied. Parking availability is nice. Package room is convenient, however, not super well kept and not all packages are logged each time. Community is in a great location and recommend living here

Building is kept clean and the staff in the building are all helpful and very nice. The biggest downside is the fire alarm or other alarms go off multiple times every week. Also, windows are very drafty and the opening mechanisms seem to get stuck and break very easily. I wish there were at least some community events or perks like free coffee every once in a while.

Love that there are yoga classes once a week but wish Miscela had a yoga studio like Montage. The room in the Miscela gym is dank, windowless, and always strewn with equipment, mats, and rubber detritus from the flooring.. One of the fluorescent lights also will not shut off, so there is never the appropriate mood for practice.

Miscela is a very convenient location to live and the Assembly area has lots of things to do. Our apartment itself is very nice and all of the staff working in the building are fantastic! The only complaint on our end after living here for 3 years is that the amenity spaces are slowly deteriorating due to residents not taking care of them. A few large groups of residents/guests have unfortunately reduced the quality of community spaces for the majority of residents.

The music in Volo Sports has been a nightmare the past month. Before that, everything was great here. But the nightly music at 75-80dB has caused me to have panic attacks, miss work, get splitting headaches, and building management won’t do anything about it. I thought we were a community looking out for each other, but they want to charge a hefty fee to leave and won’t remedy the problem. It’s so money hungry and selfish, not the building management I knew when we first signed the lease. I have never seen a residential building go down so fast.

I really like the place, and the amenities are really nice. It always surprises me how often they are empty of people, though I’ve noticed the pool has definitely become more popular than last year on weekends and holidays, making it hard to find a seat sometimes. Also, some improvements could be made to make the grills a little higher power, as wind the goes through the courtyard can cause. The gym equipment could also use an update.

This apartment building is great so far! I moved in in August 2024. Pros: - Location - you can not beat the convenience of this location. - Quality - the apartments have amazing quality appliances and are built well. - Amenities - the gym, rooftop deck, pool, etc! So many great amenities to take advantage of. - Safety: The building is secure and I feel safe living here as a single female. Cons: - Cost negotiation: They were not flexible at all even though the apartment was open for 4+ months. The cost is steep and they had the unit listed for less 2 months prior but for immediate move in. - Amenities closures: They close the pool on September 3rd, which was one month earlier than the leasing agent confirmed in writing via email.

The pool area being out of order during the heat of the summer is unacceptable for what we pay. The package room is a clear disaster. You need an SOP. If you don’t pick it is in 3 days it gets sent back. It is insane how messy the packages are. There have been a set of car tires in there for a month. ? One person on the 6th floor has had the same packages for over 2 months. We pay a lot of money to live here, how about taking care of these issues.

Into my third year here. The Miscela at Assembly is the best kept secret in Boston. Moved here from Back Bay and the office staff and maintenance are top notch. The location on the Orange line (to North station) averages 6 minutes. So overlooking the ocean, on public transportation and a fun community in your back yard, I hate to share my secret!

Overall really good experience. A few hiccups but PM team is quick to resolution. I have lived in Avalon and they had flexible end of lease terms and doesn’t seem flexible at all. For example, can extend lease for 30 days at no additional cost.

Only few areas that could use improvements which is the fire alarm going off WAY too much, as well as people taking over some of the shared amenity spaces on the 4th floor all the time. I'm torn as to what rating to give because there are polarizing aspects to my stay at Miscela. The good: Excellent maintenance team and concierge team. They're responsive and genuinely helpful. The location is great and our apartment itself is very nice. Covered parking and a large gym space. The bad: There are always large groups of people or children occupying the amenities and leaving them a disaster. Decor torn to shreds, food on the ground, and trash left out overnight as it seems some residents don't care. The management team is sometimes very difficult to get ahold of given their hours and often make mistakes regarding charges or incentives. Lastly, it has been two years now where our rent was increased more than 7% upon renewal. This is something to be mindful of if you plan to stay for more than a year and don't intend to increase income accordingly each year.

I’ve lived at the Miscela for just about a year now. The hallways are often noisy and chaotic with unattended children running around unsupervised. The amenities can be dirty but when cleaned and kept up well are an added bonus. The location is the best part of living here.

I've lived in Miscela for six months, and overall, it's a great building with numerous facilities. Maintenance responses are typically swift, usually within a working day, and they effectively resolve issues on the first attempt. The only downside is the gym, which could benefit from improvements such as acquiring new machines or repairing damaged ones. Additionally, adding more weight options like 10 and a free bar would enhance the gym experience.

Amenities and location are wonderful, maintenance is quick when requested. However, paying rent online incurs a large fee or you need to wire the money which can be confusing. Front desk staff are generally helpful, but inconsistent in their presence so having guests over can be a chore when you need someone to let them up. Leasing agents are great to work with. No shortage of covered parking spots either which is nice. Package room is pretty organized but the codes don’t always come like they should so they usually let anyone into the room

Walls, floors, and ceilings are incredibly thin. Can hear every single step our upstairs neighbors make, every argument our downstairs neighbors have. The amenities are quite good, especially the gym. The swimming pool is also nice, but due to the design of the building, even in the summer, the pool is always cold. The concierge keeps being replaced so there is no sense of familiarity. Kids are often seen running around unsupervised throughout elevators, common spaces, and the gym. Had a few negative encounters with management but most are very kind and helpful people, especially Liam and Danielle. Location is prime as Assembly Row is a great place to live, especially right next to Assembly station.

Location is good. The smell of carpet in the aisle is less after cleaning, but still can be improved. One of the garbage channel in the back of the building is still clogged. Hot water pressure in the midnight is low, but other time is good. The 10 lbs dumbbells are missing and the leg push machine is down for 6 months. For the most part, the property is great. The staff are wonderful, and the maintenance folks are prompt and friendly. BUT the building needs some help. Trash frequently litters the halls, Behavior that breaks the terms of the lease is rarely followed up on, and the infrastructure breaking down (an elevator breaking this week and the handicap buttons constantly being broken) make what could be a great experience merely okay.

So far, it's been amazing! I love the amenities offered and the front desk staff are so helpful and nice. The blinds do not block out light and sound well enough, but we installed blackout curtains to achieve that. There are some work orders that don't get filled because the building won't support those adjustments, but other than that I've been having a wonderful experience! The leasing staff is wonderful!

This apartment complex is cheaply constructed: no sound proof walls, so I hear the T throughout the night so sleeping is difficult. To have one light source to power the whole unit, instead of multiple switches in a unit is ridiculous. All of these issues show that the contractors just wanted to put together a cheaply made complex and pack as many people as possible just to chase profits. Miscela needs to do a better job vetting new residents because most of them violate the rules of the living community (I highly doubt most of them are employed to be able to afford a place like this): having SO MUCH incense in their units that i can smell it from my unit and having their herd of people who clearly don't live here congregate in the study areas, gym OUTSIDE of the appropriate hours, having their dozens of kids run around unsupervised in these areas. Overall, this place is not worth living in whether you're first moving to Boston or otherwise.

Some people have bad attitude about keeping the noise level appropriately. Issues like partying until late at night even after midnight, playing loud music with base sound, and keeping the public spaces like disposal area, hallway, or elevators happen quite often. I wonder whether the leasing management check and screen tenants background properly before they accept people into this apartment community. It has been almost 2years in this apartment, and it seems like the community becomes worse. It would be nice if the management office takes better care on getting new tenants with good manner to make better community. They can give new tenants guidelines on keeping good apartment community when they first move in or even before they move in.

The area I live in is great and that’s the only reason I have stayed. The apartment community is not. Since the building opened there have been endless issues. 1. AC units breaking multiple times and multiple entries to fix the poor construction. Some people had their whole apartments flooded. 2. Windows do not seal correctly and therefore you pay more in electricity. During winter, windows ice on the inside of the apartment when cold enough. 3. Unruly neighbors who have trashed multiple amenity areas and who have unsupervised children throughout the building causing havoc on us all. These children will hit and shove people, intentionally scare dogs. 4. Safety concerns due to individuals who conveniently “forget” their fobs for access to the elevator and floors. 5. Neighbors stealing stuff like packages, deliveries 6. Some of the maintenance team do not show up for emergencies so on one of the coldest (non-snowy) nights in Boston, several residents had no functioning heater.

I've only experienced the lease signing and move in process so far, but it has been more or less smooth. Your experience will be heavily dependent on the leasing agent you have, as some offers are only given from some agents. Upon move in, our apartment wasn't really cleaned so we had to ourselves. It looked fine at first, but we had a lot of sticky staining on the floor and walls that should have been cleaned professionally. Also the cabinets, counters, and floor had grime and food residue.

The stay at Miscela has been good. Maintenance is fast at response. The package room could use a bit more organization. I had a package that was delivered but I couldn't find it after so much search. However, can't complain about anything else.

I have lived in both the montaje and miscela apartments. My time at the montaje was wonderful however my time at the Miscela has left much to be desired. The front door into the lobby is always open and if it’s not the concierge will just let anyone in without identifying who they are. Many of my guests end up at my door without a call from the front desk. I have had two leaks in my ceiling thus far and I have only lived here since March 2023. Currently 3 of the 6 electrical outlets in my apartment are not working. Living in assembly row is great and the amenity spaces are updated but the building as a whole has not lived up to previous experiences.

The trash room need larger fonts to notice the new tenants to know that the need to throw big card boxes to the first floor. Also send them them the emails when they first start to live. The carpet in the corridor on the 5th floor has smell.

Love living here and the convenience of the neighborhood. Almost the most perfect place I’ve lived outside of some residents (mainly parents who let their kids run around at night) leaving the main areas and gym in a mess some nights. No fault of management but definitely a frustration as a resident.

What a great place to live. The staff is very nice and helpful. I had no heat the first night and I had to call the maintenance guy came right away to try and fix it. Even thought he wasn't able to fix the heat that night, he provided us with space heater for the night. He came to fix the heat that morning.

I really like living at Miscela. The only complaint I have is that tenants continue to leave the trash room a mess…bags full of garbage, leaking bags making a mess of the floor. Maintenance employees are always great about cleaning it once they are notified but they shouldn’t have to clean up after disrespectful tenants.

There are buildings you run FROM and buildings you run TO. The Miscela sits firmly in the former category for me. Since moving in things have only gotten progressively worse. From uneducated, rude staff in management to the incessant alarms and other things going off, it’s just not worth it. Literally. Don’t get duped into paying more than luxury prices for a cut-rate community.

Apartment was not in move-in condition--refrigerator filter had not been replaced and the dishwasher was clogged with foodstuff and debris. I am also disappointed by the lack of friendliness by concierge staff. Most seem to hide behind the desk and do not even look up when residents enter or exit the building.

Just moved in yesterday, and the leasing office did a great job making it a seamless process making parking available and working with the movers using the loading dock. Since I’ve gotten here, one surprising was that people are unusually friendly and welcoming to the building. That’s never happened anywhere I’ve lived before.

The apartment is in a great location, repairs are fast, and the place is clean. Unfortunately, there are a lot of kids (5-10-year-olds) that are left unattended and run around the building daily. They're often running around in the gym, playing tag in the common areas, and one tried to kick my dog for fun which was quite frustrating. Management has tried to address this with multiple stern messages but the parents don't seem to care.

It’s a beautiful residence. Some of the counters and cabinets in the kitchen feel live they were created hastily without much regard for durability or use. Not all the outlets/doors work but the common spaces are nice and the people here are friendly. The neighborhood is also quite nice.

Overall I enjoyed my experience at Miscela and love the assembly area. However there were certainly growing pains involved with the new building - please see below comments- -initially almost impossible to get lease agent on phone -Excessively frequent fire alarms at all hours of day and night -communal spaces being taken over almost every night by large rude groups -half of amenities not be usable (fire pit never on, tv in rooftop doesn’t work, clicker missing for outdoor tv, and way more) -frequent unprofessional emails sent to all residents when there is only 1 party responsible for an issue. - amenities taking long to open than advertised at initial tour -our unit advertised as having an island (we got a metal table) -Our lease states we have an assigned parking spot (this never occurred yet we had to pay full rate for parking) -Not included in lease that we would have to pay to rent out amenity spaces. -Maintenance put wrong size filter in my vent causing dirty air for months

I've been really disappointed with my time here at Miscela. A few weeks ago the fire alarm went off throughout the entire night and they didn't send an email out until the following morning to warn us (even though we did not get any sleep). Upon emailing them about this, there was no response back. Additionally, we have dealt with racist comments from the concierge regarding other tenants, and yet once again, after emailing management, nothing changed. Will not be resigning our lease.

Miscela is an amazing building with exceptional amenities! However what tops the experience is the interaction with the leasing agents! Evan and Michael made my process so smooth. From quick turn around in emails to responding to all my questions and concerns - they provided quality! Seeing a building virtually is totally different however when you get to the building it’s exactly how they describe it! I’d recommend Miscela to anyone and in particular - if you have the chance of working with Evan and Michael, I know they won’t let you down! Building is nice but floors are so loud above us not great insulation. Truly frustrating to hear everything above you when it’s advertised as “luxury living” I think the price point for the size room and quality is too high comparatively for boston. Paying this price I’d expect a lot less of these types of problems.

Good staffs and amenities. One thing that I wished it was implemented is the ride share feature. Although Miscela sits on the good public transportion spot, it is not perfect to go to every corners in the town. If there is some kind of real time dash board for the ride share depart from the apartment it will definitely helpful for the resident to travel around the town.

Nice, clean building. No real issues lately. There's a guy living here who decides to play guitar and sing around 10:30pm some nights, which is annoying. Otherwise, great place to live, and looking forward to enjoying the outdoor space with the warmer weather.

Been a pretty good experience so far. Had some apartment issues, but the maintenance team has been great. I appreciate all the hard work they do. On the downside, I've been trying to get parking since early September but haven't been able to. Gym is nice; wish it had a free weight squat rack, and clamps for the bar.

I move in on Aug 7th. The main amenities in the fourth and fifth floor are still under construction. Employees are too few and cannot pick up the phone call. I have told the agents three times about the internet guy will come to set up my services, but they forgot or mis-communication and don’t allow them to come in just one day before I move in. I also wait for a cart to carry my groceries for 30 minutes. The door to open the balcony also don’t work when I move in.
